For Kids (5-18)
At our riding academy for kids, we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive curriculum that nurtures both riding skills and overall horsemanship. Each month, students participate in one mounted lesson and one unmounted horsemanship lesson per week.
Our mounted lessons focus on developing confidence and proficiency in the saddle, allowing riders to build their skills through practical experience. Meanwhile, the unmounted horsemanship lessons dive deeper into the art of caring for and understanding horses, covering everything from grooming and tacking to behavior and nutrition.
This dual approach ensures that our young riders not only gain excellent foundational riding abilities but also cultivate a deep respect and understanding for these incredible animals. By providing a balanced program, we equip students with the essential tools they need to flourish in their riding careers and develop into well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen. For Adults (18 & up)
Our riding academy designates a distinct approach for adults, while maintaining the same enriching curriculum we provide for kids. Whether you're just starting your riding journey or progressing toward your next challenge, our program is tailored to help you reach your goals.
The adult program consists of one mounted lesson and one unmounted horsemanship lesson each week. This balanced structure ensures you develop both practical riding skills and a solid understanding of horse management. Whether your aspirations lie in gaining confidence on the trails or stepping into the show ring, our comprehensive program addresses every aspect of your riding experience. Horsemanship Academy
At Meraki Horsemanship Academy, we understand that not everyone is ready to hop into the saddle just yet. That's why we've designed a program tailored specifically for individuals who are passionate about horse care and want to deepen their knowledge and skills, whether they are beginners or looking to enhance their existing expertise.
Our program includes two unmounted horsemanship lessons each week, focusing on both day-to-day care and advanced grooming techniques. Participants will learn essential skills such as grooming, tacking, feeding, and understanding equine behavior, all within a structured and detailed curriculum.
By promoting a hands-on learning experience, we empower equine caretakers to build confidence and competence.
